learning ALL the time!!: About Us

We are a family of four: Susan, David, and two daughters: Jenna (she turned 12 in January) and Lauren (she will turn 11 in June). We are in our fourth official year as a homeschooling/life learning family. What an exciting, joyful, and sometimes crazy-making adventure! We live in a rural area of upstate NY and love our quiet life.

Susan is the primary author of this blog, although Jenna and Lauren contribute with their own accounts from time to time. I (Susan) work part-time outside of home as an assistant director at the small public library that I have used since I was a child. Before I became a mom, I earned an undergraduate degree in psychology, and a master's degree in clinical social work. David and I both grew up in the area in which we are now raising our daughters; and we both graduated from the local public school. We decided that public school was no longer for us, or our girls. Jenna attended through second grade and Lauren through first grade. We have been VERY happy with our choice to homeschool!

On our blog, you will experience the hodgepodge of our lives, and see how it all works for us as a homeschool family of life learners. Here you'll find no advertisements or gimmicky posts...just our real life, when we have time to write about it!
