Remembering Gratitude #77

This week, I am most especially grateful for family and time we've been able to spend together. The big event this week was a baby shower for one of my sisters, which took place yesterday. We all gathered at my mother's house for a family party to celebrate a new baby coming into our family, have good food, good (goofy, crazy) times, and shower my sister with gifts :) It's not very often that all seven of us kids and our own families are together in one place, so these sorts of family events are very special!

this is by no means a great picture, but we almost never get photos of all four of us at once!

We also had opportunity to take LOTS of various combinations of family photos, but I don't have copies of those yet :)

other things for which I am grateful this week:

to have my girls home

and to be able to spend quality time with them

and to know that they are learning as they need to be, not as someone else dictates
{ALWAYS on my list, even if it's not actually written}

for the smell of cupcakes!

for all of the baby shower prep we had to do this week going successfully...

baking, gift making, various other preparations...

I was so happy to finish up the 36 granny square blocks I was working on
for a baby afghan to give my sister...I will finish putting the blanket together
before the baby is born  :)

for the girls' eye doctor visit going well

for a new magazine to read

I'm always happy when a new issue comes in the mail!

for beautiful snow, and for how full bird feeders = happy birds to watch :)
