I am grateful:

| the world outside our house this morning |
for completing our tax returns!
for seeing some changes in my body's shape...small changes that probably nobody else would notice or care about...but I notice, and it helps me stay motivated to exercise and eat well
for my online homeschool friends and the sense of community we all have...it makes the lack of a local community feel less lonely
for books...I don't know how we'd live and learn without them!!
for learning OUR way
for a good partner at work...thanks Karen :)
for living where we do...that I can simply walk out my door and be in nature...a favorite form of stress relief for me is going out for a walk, whether it's for exercise or to let off steam for a few minutes
for the realization that even though my frustration may be perfectly well warranted, sometimes for my own happiness and the health of a relationship, I just have to find a way to let it go...to allow room for grace and healing to happen
for my husband
for our jobs
that we have all we need
for the good smells of yummy food in our house :)

What are you grateful for?
I've been doing these weekly gratitude posts for over a year now, if you want to see how the series began, you can read my first Remembering Gratitude post.

Great list, Susan!
ReplyDeleteI wish we lived in an area with more nature. I grew up in an area like that and other than living here and the house before this, we always lived in more rural areas and I loved it.
Yay for feeling healthy and good about yourself! I seem to have a few good days, maybe even a couple of weeks and then something comes up and I overindulge. I think the key for me is to get right back up the next day to eating healthy and exercising again!
Thanks Theresa :)
DeleteRural is the place for me...cities/urban areas make me nervous.
Desserts are definitely a huge weakness for me...I love homemade baked goods, especially cookies. My family is feeling the loss because I haven't baked any in a few weeks! As far as exercise goes, I'm not really a big fan...until I actually do it and feel good about it. I guess I naturally tend to be a bit lazy ;)
Beautiful nature photos, Susan! I do love living in a rural setting, but it's nice to have online homeschool friends to visit with...it definitely makes up for the fact that we don't have any neighbors in sight:)
